ROGER MCCARTNEY

Roger McCartney is known as The Man from Mars. The Messenger from Mars. Women prepare to be enlightened, Men prepare to be compromised.

Roger used to work as a columnist for Woman Magazine, which is an immensely popular weekly publication in the UK. As a result, many of the themes in his books hark back to some of the humourous ideas and social commentary first explored in those early columns. You will find his writing to be on the money and his humourous interpretation of the man-woman scenario, second to none.

In his MEN FROM MARS series, he attempts to marry up each location to the main thrust of his humour. This results in 'translating' the book into the local lingo of each area, just as you would translate a book into Russian or German, and he utilises much of the local geography, to give a flavour, attractive to people from that town or City.

Roger's football cartoon books are the latest project. Football fans will find these books amusing, hopefully, and they are intended as a bit of light-relief and as a cheeky little stocking-filler gift. They are relatively short as the cost of the colour ink is expensive but the idea is to present a colourful, visually appealing stimulus.
