Colten is my grandson. I adopted him in 2012. We wrote this book together to help him learn about his Native American culture and to help him learn to read. We began this journey when he was 6 and have finally completed it five years later. We were fortunate to find a wonderful Native American artist, Wade Patton, whose art really made the book beautiful.

Our message to other kids is "Dream Big". Whatever you dream to do, you can do it!! Just keep working on it every day.
