Aimee Tallian PhD

Originally from Chicago, Aimee moved out west at the age of 18 to work in Yellowstone National Park. For 12 years, she worked managing and studying wolves, bears, and bison before returning to school to pursue a degree in Environmental Sciences. Recently graduated from Utah State University with a Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology, her dissertation investigated how wolves interact with other large animals like bison and grizzly bears. Now, in addition to teaching kids about animal interactions through the Our World of Wildlife series, Aimee continues to research wolves and grizzly bears, seeking to understand how competition between these two apex predators affects their ecosystem.
