Kizmat L. Tention

Well hey y'all!! I'm a Georgia native, lover of all foods you saw in the movie "The Help". I'm a singing and dancing mom by day, but only actually good at one of them. I'll let you decide which one embarrasses my teen kid the most. Remember, I'm from the ATL, so 'drop it like it's hot' is a constant phrase used in my home. I'm a married woman (I's a married now) with two kiddos (teen and adult, but they will always be kiddos to me).

So now that I have broken the ice with my crazy side, I will tell you about my new life as an author. Broken Little Pieces is my first book and hopefully not my last. It was not easy to write, but I guess showing the world your vulnerable side can be a bit arduous (whoop whoop for the GRE word).

I mastered the illusion of being a perfectionist. I was the perfect wife, perfect stay at home mom, perfect daughter, perfect you name it. Then life happened and my perfect life was shattered when our son was stillborn. My marriage was falling apart and I was tired of trying to live up to the false image of happiness.

I realized that I was invisible. I was an invisible child who grew up to become an invisible wife. I wore masks to hide my invisibility and realized that it was time to remove those masks and find myself. Once the masks were removed I realized I was broken. I was broken into little pieces and it was finally time to being figuring out how to put all of my pieces together again.
