Susan R. Marth

As early as second grade, Susan’s designing ability was

evident to her classmates as they crowded around her

desk during rainy day recesses waiting in line for her

to draw doodles for them to color. Years later, with a

bachelor’s degree in architectural interior design, she

drafted office designs for clients in major corporate

buildings in the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area.

Today, Susan designs for her business, Suzn Quilts,

using the same skills she began honing at an early age.

In addition to creating hundreds of patterns and writing

books, Susan also designs quilting fabric and quilts

for magazines. She attends International Quilt Market

twice annually selling to the trade. Her quilt patterns,

books, and templates are sold internationally through

quilt shops, catalogs, and distributors.

Susan enjoys lecturing, teaching workshops, and sharing

her joy of quilting and design with others. For information
