David Clyde Timme

I live in Toledo, Oregon near the Central Oregon Coast where I graduated from High school in 1958, and towards the end of high school I started work at the Georgia Pacific Corporation Pulp and Paper Mill in Toledo, concurrent with graduation. While at GP I was away 2 years in the Army, including service in the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg North Carolina, later as support staff at the Command and General Staff College in Leavenworth, Kansas, and passing a test to get a 1st year college GED.

I was a founding member of Yaquina Pacific Railroad Historical Society, 1992-1997, a 501 C 3 organization recognized by the IRS, I served as President for 5 years. I was the founder, and still am President and Chairman, of the Toledo Community Foundation, Est. 1994, also a 501 C 3 organization.

I retired as a Supervisor/Trainer from Georgia Pacific Corporation, Toledo, Oregon after 43 years service in 2000. I became a Realtor in 2002, and in 2006 started Coastal Oregon Real Estate Sales in Newport Oregon and became Owner/Principle Broker. Recently in 2016 I inactivated my Realtor License and also closed my Real Estate Office in 2016 and started writing.

I have been active in the community: City Planning Committee four years - two years as President, Writer and Editor of Tree Leaves, the publication of the Toledo City Planning Commission, Toledo Summer Festival Committee participation, Toledo Correspondent for the Newport News Times Newspaper for a year, Main Street Economic Revitalization committee for a year.
