Angela Duffield

Angela Duffield is an author living in South Africa. Her childhood consisted of playing in a treehouse at her grandparents and reading the old English classic stories. Angela started writing poetry at the age of 12 years old and was published in an anthology of poetry.

She is passionate about storytelling. Her love of nature and animals has become a life long passion to preserve our beautiful planet. She has experienced walking with elephants, feeding giraffes, playing with lions and tiger cubs and sitting on a beach with Cape Penguins.

She has travelled through the Namib desert to see the flamingos at Walvisbay and boogie boarded down the sand dunes at Swakopmund in Namibia.

Angela is an award-winning artist and children's book illustrator.

Angela loves telling stories based on South Africa and her first novel, Fields of Fire and Ice, was written whilst researching her own family history. The idea for her second novel Catch a Wildfire, is based on her holidays in the small town of Clarens in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains with her family.
