Catherine Arra

Catherine Arra is a former high school English and writing teacher. Her poetry and prose have appeared in numerous literary journals online and in print, and in several anthologies. She is the author of Perennial Cosmology (dancing girl press, 2026) Solitude, Tarot & the Corona Blues (Kelsay Books, 2022), Deer Love (Dos Madres Press, 2021), Her Landscape, Poems Based on the Life of Mileva Marić Einstein (Finishing Line Press, 2020), (Women in Parentheses) (Aldrich Press/Kelsay Books, 2019), Writing in the Ether (Dos Madres Press, 2018), Tales of Intrigue & Plumage (FutureCycle Press, 2017), Loving from the Backbone (Flutter Press, 2015), and Slamming & Splitting (Red Ochre Press, 2014).

Forthcoming in 2026 are Last Evening With All the Versions of Myself (Finishing Line Press), and an ekphrastic collection, The Razor Tip of an Arrowhead, with photographs by Alex Stolis and poems by Catherine (Dos Madres Press). Arra is a native of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York, where she facilitates local writing groups and lives with her partner Alex Stolis.
