Debra Kelsey-Davis

Debra Kelsey-Davis RN, MHSA is a faith-filled transformational leader, a clinician, and a nationally respected caregiving expert. Since the age of 19, when she became a nurse, she's been changing people's lives in one way or another. Working in the trenches of hospitals, churches, and large healthcare organizations, Debra's spent the last 38 years as a student of life and the human spirit. She's learned that there is truly no greater honor than to care for another human being, which also includes the care of self.

Debra left corporate America in 2014 seeking a new path to make a difference and focus on what really matters. Led by faith, that journey led her to found Nourish for Caregivers with Kelly Johnson. Born out of the realization that faith, a much needed but missing ingredient in commercially available caregiver programs, she developed a Catholic-based curriculum that supports the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of family caregivers. Today, that program is touching lives in 90+ churches/ healthcare/ community organizations across the country...and growing. The work has expanded to speak to Ecumenical and spiritually-grounded organizations, evangelizing and changing lives.

Debra is a speaker, author, and source of inspiration to individuals, teams, and leaders seeking change. She's also the co-founder of Sagacity.Care, a digital health technology solution. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Catholic Nurses (NACN-USA) and the Illinois Catholic Health Association (ICHA). She calls Chicago home, along with her husband Steve and her 2 adult children and 2 sweet (but rather furry) dogs. She's currently a caregiver to her parents, John 96 and Donna 87, and considers it to be one of the most important and challenging roles of her lifetime.
