Jacob Hollabaugh

Jacob Hollabaugh hails from the land of Dum Dum Suckers, a tiny town situated just inside the Northwest borders of Ohio. Life in his hometown of Bryan has remained a heavy influence upon his perspective and writing, although he has since moved on to live in such metropolitan areas as Denver, Lexington, Indianapolis, and most recently Chicago. Jacob came into focus for Our Downward Spiral after spending two years absorbing and consuming mass amounts of media, in the forms of television, podcasts, newspapers, and blogs. Thanks to his parents and some influential English teachers, he developed a love for reading at a young age, and discovered his passion for writing as a natural extension. As a young man with fresh eyes for an old industry and a modern perspective on the problems facing the world today, he writes to give a voice to like-minded individuals. After spending much time disillusioned, feeling as though his opinions weren’t valued, Jacob came to realize that many young people felt the same way, and seeks to change that. He believes what matters most are facts, policies, and answers, eschewing the modern practice of turning the political climate into a gossip mill and realm of entertainment.
