Jean Beaman

Jean Beaman, Ph.D., is a sociologist at CUNY Graduate Center (NYC) who conducts research on race, ethnicity, state violence, and migration in France and the United States. She was previously on the faculty at University of California-Santa Barbara and Purdue University (IN, USA) and has held visiting fellowships at Duke University and the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Northwestern University (IL, USA).
