John Baptist Durbin

John Paul Durbin was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Denison University, later graduating from The Ohio State University. Though a life-long student of politics and a voter who never missed an election, he became so disenchanted with American politics that he stopped voting. But his passion for politics continued to tug on him, eventually leading him to take a deeper look into the unfolding story of the contentious American politics which played out in the aftermath of the passage of Obamacare. That journey resulted in this book. The non de plume of the author is the name of his great- and great-grandfathers, who were among the earliest farmers in Knox County, in the new state of Ohio. The United States senator hailing from Illinois, Richard “Dick” Joseph Durbin, is, quite likely, a distant cousin of the author.
