About Me

I hold a B.A. in English and German Literary- and Cultural Studies & Linguistics as well as an M.A. in Transcultural Anthropology from the University of Bremen.

In terms of research, I am interested in transformations in activism, humanitarianism, media representation, and political polarization.

Aside from empirical research I also dabble in theory with my main interest being political and philosophical individualism which aligns itself with existentialism and is critical of objectivism.

In terms of writing literary fiction, I am interested in exploring new avenues of interpersonal and social interaction and coexistence as well as illuminating the emotional experience of otherness from the perspective of the the uncommon, the unusual, the warped, the reversed, the paradoxical, the excluded, the shunned, the confusing and the strange.

I have spent the last few years working in social work with homeless people, poverty-stricken people sometimes struggling with addiction as well as refugees and migrants.

I am currently finishing a novel which is almost ready to be sent to publishers and I have finished poetry collections which have not yet found their way into publishing houses or self publishing, as most of my time in consumed by career-, work- and family life.

I have a daughter, (although I like to word it in a more accurate way: I am the mother of...) whom I regard as the center of the structural and emotional framework by which I organize my life. Her life is my life.

My creative work has really received the largest amount of neglect in the last 10 years, as I lack the time and energy to put into my creative endeavors. I am currently trying to build a more supporting schedule which allows me to engage in my creative work more. I write poems basically every day, and either I keep them hidden in my notes on my phone, or I share them with friends and family. Aside my asperations to start my doctorate, I see an increase in engagement with the world of literary fiction and poetry as a close second. I tried to start a literary magazine from the ground up, which published two journals. However, due to time constraints and doing it all on my own (because of lacking resources), I had to let it come to a temporary end. I am bringing it back in the winter of 2023.

I am also pretty active on social media. On TikTok, I make content about philosophy and cultural anthropology. On Instagram, I share my vision through street photography and images relating to personal interests. I am also currently building a channel on YouTube which will be focused on topics within the realm of philosophy, literature, media, and cultural and psychoanalytical-anthropology which I have researched as well as another channel for my spoken word poetry.
