AYHAN YAVUZ is a writer and artist who lives on Camano Island, Washington. He is the author of Azra’s Labyrinth, his first novel and the first in The Realm of Illusions series. His first book of non-fiction, In the Cradle of Umbra, about becoming more aware of life’s lessons, understanding the anatomy of an opportunity called suffering and the quest for acceptance and happiness, is also available now.
Ayhan was born in Turkey, studied in England, and currently, lives in the United States. Before becoming the artist and the author he is now, Ayhan spent several years in the financial industry, worked as a counselor, studied multiple holistic healing modalities, and also became ordained as a Buddhist Monk at the Atammayatarama Buddhist Monastery in Woodinville, Washington, where he continues to practice Buddhism and learn to become more mindful with gratitude and humility.
