Kim D. Kwiatek MD

Kim Kwiatek, MD is an emergency physician who has been in practice for 36 years. Born in 1952 in New Jersey, he has practiced medicine in the Kettering Health Network for most of his career. His interests include disaster medicine, patient satisfaction, medical informatics and more. He served as Medical Director for Washington Township Fire and Rescue for over 25 years and was the lead physician for the OHIO-5 DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) for over ten years serving victims of Hurricanes such as Katrina and in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010. He started ABC Scribes in 2010 (Accurate Bedside Charting) and has coauthored "Medical Scribe's Guide" along with Kaitlin Flamm. It is used as the textbook for scribing courses at several universities. Father of 3 and grandfather of 2, he resides in Dayton, Ohio with his wife Candace, where he continues to practice emergency medicine and run his scribe company.
