Ajay Peter Manuel

Ajay Peter Manuel was born in Madurai, India. He began writing at a very young age, collecting a journal of his life's adventures while traveling with his family to various countries including Egypt, Sudan, Sierra Leone, and UK. What began as a hobby soon blossomed into an avid interest as he developed his skills, branching out with young adult stories focusing on romance, and eventually to various other genres including science fiction, mystery, and fantasy. A keen poet among other things, he published his first work, an autobiography detailing his tumultuous years at a high school in Khartoum, Sudan in Our Last Summer: A Personal Memoir. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada while sharing his daily experiences on his personal WordPress blog at The Pensive Reverie as well as his profiles on Facebook and Twitter where he maintains a healthy crowd of followers among friends, and family. Having found his inspiration in writing, Ajay intends to expand further into the realm of art, focusing on Japanese anime and manga, in hopes of fueling his dreams to one day becoming a mashup of a full-time writer, science communicator, and mangaka.
