In February 2017 I celebrated twenty one years as a Hypnotherapy Training provider. I conducted my very first training course in the East Yorkshire town of Goole back in 1996

It actually all started twenty five years ago, when I changed direction and became a clinical hypnotherapist sparked by an amazing insight inspired by my father whilst performing my hypnosis stage act on Blackpool Pier.

I had recently been disabled by an industrial injury where my dominant right arm was paralysed and withering away. My positive nature found a way to come to terms with my doctor’s advice to amputate my arm, I was then actually looking forward to this in anticipation of being recognised as ‘the one armed hypnotist’ – I even had posters printed!

My father commented on the power of the mind after attending my stage show and inspired me to use the power of my mind to repair my paralysed right arm. An amazing light bulb moment.

I studied the works of Milton Erickson MD who on two separate occasions used the power of his mind to learn to walk again following paralysis caused by polio.

The following twelve months was a turning point in my life as I used my skills to bring my arm back to around 95% recovery. I considered the industrial accident to be Karmic debt due to my rather aggressive and colourful teenage years, and spent time looking for a way to neutralise that debt. Then a few weeks later I woke in the earlier hours of the morning with an amazing inspirational and overwhelming message. It was in that moment that I made an agreement with myself which would eventually serve as my life’s purpose whilst at the same time neutralise the Karmic debt I had accumulated as a teenager.

This was my revelation.

MY LIFE’S PURPOSE:

TO HELP ONE MILLION PEOPLE BEFORE I DIE…

And so it began, my life became meaningful, I abandoned stage hypnosis, attended a basic hypnotherapy training course and opened my first hypnotherapy clinic. I also enrolled on an ‘A’ level psychology course at my local college which eventually lead me to a degree in clinical psychology.

Miracles started to happen right before my eyes. I was seeing clients on a daily basis after opening a complimentary Health Centre on Hessle Road Hull.

Still not feeling like I was doing enough to achieve my Million, I decided to teach other people to do the work that I did creating a pyramid effect. This lead to the birth of my training company, Innervisions School of Clinical Hypnosis.

Established in 1996, Innervisions School of Clinical Hypnosis is now the training provider of choice providing specialised training in modern clinical hypnosis at various locations around the UK and Spain.

In this twenty first year, I decided to write a series of books to celebrate my life’s work.

Now semi-retired from hypnotherapy, and running the business from our beautiful home in the Costa Blanca region of Spain, I am privileged and honoured to have a fantastic and wonderful team of dedicated tutors working at various venues around the UK and also here in Spain.

Behind the scenes, I have my wonderful and loving partner, Shirley, keeping me motivated and in good spirits doing all the business related stuff that I don’t like doing!
