Fred Abrams

Fred Abrams is a retired USAF fighter pilot (148 fighter missions in the F-100 in VietNam plus service in England) and program manager (F-15 Program Office) who works as a consultant and trainer in project management. While in England he met and married an Air Force nurse and they raised two children. His wife of 33 years died and he re-married a widow, Jeri, he met in Hospice Grief Support counseling. Together they wrote the only grief support book on Amazon by an ordinary widow/widower couple - Thanks For The Dance - Transforming Grief into Gratitude when your spouse dies. The reaction to the second part of that book (rebuilding your life to once again be content) led to a follow-on book for everyone on how to live a life of contentment - Life’s Journey Does Have A Destination. Comments on that book’s discussion on how life’s low points can lead to good led to a third book telling the true stories of folks who have lived the Biblical story of Joseph (the author’s stories included) - Realizing…God Meant it For Good. Fred and Jeri are both avid supporters of adopting rescue dogs and have written multiple children's books in an Amazon Series - “A Rescue Tale” (Rusty-The Little Red Dog, Pogo-The Puppy Mill Dog, Cooper-The World’s Happiest Dog, Baxter - The Two Tone Toy Poodle, Bailey - The Crippled Stray) to encourage young people to adopt rather than buy their dogs. All royalties from the two books go to Carolina Poodle Rescue where they adopted all of their rescue dogs.
