Welcome to my author page. I started on this journey in 2010 when my life took a sudden spin out of control. I found myself at the age of 45 a devoted Christian who was now separated, a single mom, and unemployed. I went back to college where I studied public health. During my internship, I discovered that only 1 in 10 people understood how to navigate the health care system or how to make healthy choices at home (a set of skills called Health Literacy). After college I launched a business and then a non-profit aimed to help people improve their health literacy skills.
As soon as that was up and running, God sent me in a new direction in my faith. He began to teach me that He is still the God of miracles and prayer. Giving me with the most amazing ministry partner, Alyssa Plock, He used my teaching skills- curriculum development, facilitation, and comfort talking about the most difficult life choices- to begin to address issues within the church. When I pressed Him with the question, Why teach me to navigate the health care system, and then teach me to navigate God's world of miracles? He shared with me that life is not always a "GOD or world" answer. Sometimes, in fact, frequently, it is a "GOD and world together" answer.
So now I am this everyday Christian with a passion for helping people learn how to live healthier- physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Until recently, I did it by teaching classes, and through speaking engagements. Now I am a published author too. It was not ever something I desired, but the title I am most proud of other than grandma!
in 2018, God challenged me to get my Masters in Theology. As I finished that, He encouraged me to look for a job in a church. I ended up in Sept 2019 as the office administrator of Beth Israel Worship Center, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's home congregation. Being part of a messianic congregation has deepen my understanding of the richness of Jewish heritage, including learning to play the shofar!
What I have learned from Rabbi's teachings and books, especially The Harbinger, is that God is a God of order, patterns, consistency, and a deep love for his people- all his people. I know this deeper understanding will help me to draw stronger conclusions in my writing.
I pray my books will allow more people to learn how to run the race set before them. I pray as you journey through life, these books will help you feel more confident in the choices you make for yourself and your family. And as you reach the very end of your life, you can approach it screaming "Whoo-hoo, what a ride! I wouldn't change a thing!" And God will respond, "Well done, good and faithful child!"
