Hari Ghotra

Hari Ghotra is an Indian chef and the founder of the biggest Indian food digital platform in the UK, featuring hundreds of easy to follow Indian recipes, videos, and informative blogs www.harighotra.co.uk. She is also the food and beverage manager at Virgin Atlantic and is responsible for creating and designing the onboard dining proposition across all global catering teams.

Trained at Michelin-starred Tamarind’s of Mayfair, Hari also contributes to the Great British Chefs website and The Huffington Post and many other publications.

Raised in an environment where food played a central role in family life, Hari learned to cook authentic dishes from her mother. Her passion for simplifying Indian cookery without losing its authenticity meant that after creating the website, she branched out into cookery lessons. Hari also quickly identified that preparing kits with the exact quantities of spices helped make curry-cooking easy for consumers, so now has her own brand of curry kits. Her aim is to always provide a simple way to cook delicious, authentic Indian food at home from scratch.
