Boog Deniro (real name Tysheem Crocker), is a Bronx, New York native. While imprisoned, he began writing as a pastime. After passing his stories around and getting rave reviews from the hardest audience to please (prisoner), he realized this could be more than just a hobby. Writing could change his life. He took a creative writing course, and finished at the top of his class. He is also a Business Technology graduate, a credential also acquired while incarcerated. Not bad for a kid who dropped out of school after the 8th grade for the fast life, and ended up in prison before he was an adult. Having developed a nuanced style of writing, a gift for setting gritty scenes, a penchant for witty wordplay and crisp dialogue, he was able to garner the interest of Bestsellers Shannon Holmes (B-more Careful) and Wahida Clark (Thug Matrimony). That's when he knew he really had what it takes to become an effective crime novelist. Novels by Boog Deniro: Respect The Struggle, Street Generals - No Sellouts, Nothing is Sacred - Street Generals 2, and Can't Stop Won't Stop - Street Generals 3. Respect The Struggle is so raw, there were discussions about turning it into a film. One of Boog's favorite sayings is: From bricks to books; you can do it too! He's an avid reader, never resting on his laurels, and loves his New York football Giants, the Knicks, and the Yankees.
