M.L. Brown

M.L. Brown (1986-Present) was born and grew up in Somerset, Kentucky. He is a veteran of the United States Army where he served for five years on Active Duty as a Military Policeman. He was deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, first in 2005 and again in 2007. M.L. Brown served honorably in the United States Army where he achieved the rank of Corporal prior to his discharge. He was nominated for the Bronze Star for combat action on his first deployment to Mosul, Iraq and was credited with rescuing his Squad from imminent danger from enemy small arms fire and a Rocket Propelled Grenade attack. He served as a Fire Team Leader and Armored Security Vehicle commander during his second deployment in the Sadr City section of Baghdad, Iraq. He was awarded, among others, five Army Commendation Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal for his service. M.L. Brown is currently employed in Kentucky as a police officer where he has served for almost a decade. His accomplishments in this role include Firearms Instructor, Police Training Officer, Armorer, Tactical Team Member, D.A.R.E. Instructor, TASER Instructor, and Advanced School Resource Officer. M.L. Brown currently resides in Somerset, Kentucky with his wife Amber, son Karma, and daughter Alyssa.
