Hello and welcome to my Amazon author page. After working for the US Department of Defense in Washington DC for 43 years, my wife and I retired to Florida in 2011. While she spends most of her time quilting, I retreat to my man cave and write historical fiction.
My two published books take place in the early 1700's in England. The Last Archers focuses on a young man,Thomas Bolton, and his uncle, Moss Barker. Moss is the local archery champion and trains Thomas for the upcoming archery contest.
The other leading characters are midwife, Brindy, and her niece, Blythe. Together the four are instrumental in dealing with a band of lumbermen intent on finding a lost hoard of gold.
The second book, Bones of Contention, concentrates on Brindy, Blythe, and Thomas. After a decomposed body is found nearby, they are requested to find the killer. Local residents make a variety of unfounded accusations and others deliberately mislead them.
I am a member of the Florida Writers Association, the Historical Novel Society, and the Writers League of the Villages. In addition, I participate in three critique groups.
