Angela Eckhoff

Angela Eckhoff is a Professor of Teaching and Learning at Old Dominion University in Virginia. She holds a dual PhD from the University of Colorado – Boulder in Educational Psychology and Cognitive Science. Dr. Eckhoff studies the role of creativity in child development and learning, arts-based research and pedagogical practices, and early STEAM learning in both classroom and museum settings. Dr. Eckhoff provides professional development for early childhood and elementary educators in the areas of child development, play-based learning, STEAM learning experiences, and authentic documentation practices. Her interactive presentations encourage teachers to support young children's explorations and learning through careful attention to the environments and experiences they design for their students.
