Melissa Rose Lawrence

Melissa Rose Lawrence is a multidisciplinary writer, language learner and regenerative gardener born and raised in New Jersey. She is currently studying Sustainable Food and Farming through the University of Massachusetts, with a special interest in organic cultivation and ecological resilience

A lifelong learner, Melissa has studied Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Spanish at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, as well as digital photography through the New York Institute of Photography. She continues to deepen her knowledge of East Asian languages and cultures, especially Taiwanese Mandarin and Korean, and is passionate about cross-cultural communication and folklore.

In addition to writing, Melissa tends a small organic garden with love and intention, experimenting with regenerative techniques and honoring the land as a sacred being. She’s currently focused on building a backyard ecosystem that supports biodiversity and spiritual connection.

Melissa lives with chronic health conditions and draws strength from nature, spirit and storytelling. Her creative work is inspired by her interest in Druidry, traditional medicine, and a longing for a more beautiful and interconnected world.

When she’s not writing or working in her garden, you can find her watching anime, cooking gluten free and vegan meals, or daydreaming about living on a self-sustainable homestead one day.
