David J. Glunt

Born in a Pittsburgh suburb, I grew up in Pennsylvania. I earned degrees from Evangel University, Missouri, and Bowling Green St. Univ. , Ohio then taught at every level from junior high through college.

A history major, I took a break from teaching to be a news producer at WSFJ-TV, then a textbook editor and writer for Glencoe McGraw-Hill. I retired after many years teaching history in high school and Columbus State U. My wife and I now live in Summerville, South Carolina.

My first book, Barely Surviving, is a fun memoir of my many narrow escapes and predicaments. I do hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it. Patriot Dreams Through Ten Generations is more serious work. It is a novel that traces the journey of immigrants to the U.S. through ten generations, reacquainting the reader with much of our lost history--the patriots who gave up so much to create the freest, safest, and most generous country in the world.
