Theodore Schweitzer

Theodore Schweitzer is a U.S. Air Force veteran and former officer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees who was instrumental in the rescue of thousands of Vietnamese refugees stranded and attacked by pirates in the Gulf of Thailand following the end of the Vietnam War. In the 1980’s and 1990’s he undertook research for the U.S. Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Hanoi, Vietnam, into Americans missing in action from the Vietnam War. His first book, Inside Hanoi’s Secret Archives: Solving the MIA Mystery, was first published in 1995. In the 2000’s he turned his attention to North Korea and made a dozen missions there, also for the DIA. His most recent book: An American Spy Inside North Korea, is an account of his twelve clandestine missions inside the Hermit Kingdom – North Korea.
