Jon Dean

Jon Dean is a writer and academic living in Sheffield, UK. He is an Associate Professor of Politics and Sociology at Sheffield Hallam University. Jon’s writing focuses on the sociology and politics of charity, volunteering and giving. He also writes about research methods, and the role of reflexivity and objectivity in research. Occasionally he can be heard discussing politics on BBC Radio Sheffield, and has appeared in the Yorkshire Post, Toronto Star, Metro, The Stylist, and other publications.
