I grew up as the only child of two world-class musicians.

My Father was assistant Principal Trombonist in the Philadelphia Orchestra for seven years, prior to moving on to his position of Principal Trombonist with the Chicago Symphony. My Mother was a child prodigy in a family of violinists. She performed all over the world only to "retire" from her professional career upon my birth. Just imagine the magical, musical world that I grew up in. At naptime I would fall asleep to the sounds of 2 world renown musicians honing their exquisite craft! No wonder I grew up humming Beethoven! And....when I went off to college Mom picked up her fiddle once again and joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Many of my family members were also "artsy", and so it was truly a natural progression when I pursued a singing career. My husband and I entertained together all over the country. (For those of you who care... and are old enough to remember, we were like a combination of Sonny and Cher and Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.) We opened shows for famous (and not so famous) comics, most of whom are probably no longer with us.

When the economy drooped in the late 1980's and the live entertainment industry "died", I entered the new homebuilding industry as a builder's hostess in a beautiful model home. (Yes, very different from evening gowns and audiences!) After much hard work I ascended the ranks to sales person and after more hard work I was promoted into upper management. For those not in management, believe me, it is not for the faint of heart! Really! "Being the Boss" of people looking to you for help in feeding their families combined with the company's owner looking to you for sales numbers that make or break his business can keep you awake all night. A bazillion gray hairs later I retired...thankfully ... and started living again!

During those stressful years I became a Breast Cancer Survivor. It was life-changing. I still thank God every single day for letting me be here! It is my everlasting goal to try to give something back and live my life in a way that makes God happy for his decision!

And so.... as you can guess, I consider myself to be truly blessed.

So far, the stories for my books have just sort of "happened". After having the light bulb go off in my head giving me an idea...I combine locations I love, situations with which I am familiar, research on interesting, yet unfamiliar subjects and... a lot of daydreaming. Now you know my writing formula. I believe that special schooling is not a "must" in order to write. Just passion.

My husband, Alan and I have been blissfully residing in Florida for awhile now and absolutely love living and working in paradise!
