Dael Oates

Dael Oates is an award winning film maker who just added kids books to his creative output. Starting his career at the Oscar winning animation Studio, Animal Logic (Happy Feet, The Lego Movie, Lego Batman) Dael's work spans many disciplines. His latest short film was the winner of Hollywood Comedy Short Festival, Best film, best comedy at St Kilda Film Festival and Best film at the Heathcote Film Festival. Being a passionate storyteller Dael was naturally drawn to picture books and having 3 children of his own, needless to say he is consumed with kids stories.

Dael teamed up with fellow film maker and animator Stephen Beck to create their first book, The Adventures of Cloud Girl, with many more to come.
