Dave Martin is an engineering consultant and instructor passionate about helping companies solve their problems in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
David spent 13 years training and consulting for PTC and PTC’s resellers, for small, medium, and large companies. He taught classes in Pro/ENGINEER / Creo, Windchill, and Mathcad.
Following his time in the PTC ecosystem, David joined Amazon as the specialist for Creo Parametric. He was in charge of defining their best practices and processes, developing and delivering training, and providing user support to product development teams, including readers, tablets, and Echo.
He then transferred to the Vehicle Design team for Amazon Prime Air, where he performed the cabling schematics and harness design work for uncrewed aerial vehicles (drones) to deliver packages and administered Creo Parametric and Windchill. At Blue Origin, he performed cable harness design on New Shepard, surfacing on New Glenn, and a CAD and PLM administrator. At Elroy Air, he was the configuration manager, once again in the drone world.
David has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a former Armor officer (M1A1 Abrams) in the United States Army Reserves.
