Janet E Arnold

Janet Arnold is the Mother to two boys. She is a Behaviour Consultant, an accredited Triple P Practitioner (Standard Stepping Stones), RECE and a High Five® Trainer who has a strong background in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA). Since 1996, Janet has worked with children, their families, and individuals in clinical and educational settings. She is the Co-Partner of Finding Solutions (www.findingsolutions.ca). Janet is the Co-Author of the book How to Explain a Diagnosis to a Child: A Resource Guide for Parents and Professionals and the author of the children’s book What do you see when you take a look at me? Janet is also a regular contributor to the blog savvysassymoms (www.savvysassymoms.com), sharing various family and educational tips. Janet is actively involved in a variety of community working groups and is the Chair of York Region Bullying Prevention Partnership, and a member on the Board of Directors for the Learning Disabilities Association of York Region. She holds professional memberships with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO) as well as the Centre for Exceptional Children. Janet believes that with consistency, collaboration and advocacy, everyone can reach their potential. Constantly having to juggle her “mommy” versus her “professional” brain, Janet knows firsthand what challenges many moms face in today’s world. Her motto is: Finding Solutions, Together We Can!
