Jan-Erik has co-edited books ”Publc Policies for Hybrid Governance” (E.Elgar), ”Future Public Governance and Global Crises” (E.Elgar, open access), and a book ”Finnish public administration: Nordic space and agency” (Palgrave). Previously, he has co-edited a volume ”Hybrid governance, organisations and society” (Routledge), authored a book “Strategy formation and policy making in government” (Palgrave) and co-authored a book “Governing hybrid organisations” (Routledge).
In addition to hybrid governance and strategic management Jan-Erik has studied a broad range of issues in social and health policies, performance, team networks, project management and pension governance.
Jan-Erik is a professor and Director of research group on Administrative Science at Tampere University, Finland.
Jan-Erik is one of the founding members of Special Interest Group (SIG) on Governing and Managing Hybridity in International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM) and co-founder of research panel ”Public policies for hybrid governance” in International Public Policy Association conferences (ICPP, IWWP). He is a member of the permanent standing group of strategic management in government in European Group for Public Administration (EGPA).
