H.C. Scherf

The author was born in Essen / Germany in 1948 and once learned the honorable typesetter trade. A responsible management position within a large publishing house did not allow time to devote to writing. Only when he retired did H.C. Scherf his first thriller.

Books are dreams and visions that the author has put into words. You should achieve that readers feel drawn into a story. Only when you suffer with the protagonists, the pain, the joy can almost physically feel, then the book has reached a level that can make it unique. This is exactly what the author tries to achieve.

Reading is one thing - feeling tension is the best. The proximity to reality always resonates in the novels, which nevertheless - or perhaps precisely because of it - gives the books their own magic.

In 2018 the novel "KALENDERMORD" started a series with the Essen investigator duo Spelzer and Hollmann. You solve exciting murder cases in the middle of the Ruhr area in 4 subsequent volumes.

Another series of thrillers began with other protagonists also in the Ruhr area. In the first case, the investigative duo Liebig and Momsen meets a perfidious murderer who uses the phobias of his victims for his own purposes. This series begins with HÜTER DER ANGST and ends with volume 5 DER SCHMERZ BLEIBT.

A new series is currently starting with Gordon Rabe and his first case, DER TOD HINTER DER LÜGE. It takes the reader into the realm of unspeakable evil. A world that inspires fear, but exists right next to us. The series ends for the time being with volume 6 DER TOD BESTRAFT DEINE SÜNDEN.

In the following individual titles, as usual with the author, basic topics flow into the stories, which are largely unpleasant, but which I do not stop at. Human trafficking, baby trafficking, abuse, coping with guilt, bullying and much more.
