Danny Blitz dreamt of writing a children's book long before her daughter was born. When her daughter, Sheridan, proved her artistry through the commissioned projects she unsolicitedly began to receive at the age of 15 years, Danny knew it was time to make that children's book dream come true.
The summer before Sheridan went to college, she and Danny co-wrote and illustrated a book about Sheridan's experiences learning responsibility before adopting her first dog, Winston. They chose to write about their own story because they thought it might help families who might otherwise adopt a dog too soon.
