Patricia Pike

Born in Zululand while my parents lived in a mud hut with cow dung floors and thatch roof, monkeys invading our home to snack on jam and anything not locked up tight, I am now living in the land of the Hobbits with inspiration on my doorstep, as well as my memories of days gone by. I feel that I was born with a pencil in my hand to either sketch or capture images with words. Life has blessed me with interesting people who have enriched my life with their stories. I have lived through times of historical significance and times of peace and plenty. Each era has fed me with fodder for my over active imagination. Each moment in my life has been full of color and fascination. My husband and children have encouraged me in my endeavors. Pushed me when I doubted myself and cheered me when I achieved my dreams. I am the mother to four wonderful adults and was the wife of a kind and gracious man who sadly died in 2019, but most of all I am me. The me that wakes up each morning wanting to create and enjoy life to the fullest.
