Hugh Dysart

Biography

Hugh Dysart is a long-time musician and song writer. He is the father of two, a step-dad and a grandfather.

Hugh has been playing blues and rock for almost fifty years and writing for fifteen. His greatest influences have always been music based, appreciating the genius of both music and lyrics. It has greatly influenced his writing of lyrics in rhythm and syntax.

It is seen in his works, that he holds strong beliefs in social justice, very liberal views regarding human rights in his quest for equanimity.

Hugh discovered a love of writing poetry and prose; a natural progression as a lyricist. He recently was the featured writer, on three occasions, for Creative Talents Unleashed, showcasing some of his works.

Hugh is also a contributor to the Creative Talents Unleashed Anthologies, "Down the Rabbit Hole," and most recently three of his pieces were included in, "I Have a Name."

Hugh's first collection of work, published by CTU Publishing Group, "Torn Poems' is the debut compilation of lyricist turned poet. Hugh Dysart is a wordsmith, creating captivating and lyrical poetry/prose pieces. His favorite saying is "create like a madman!"

Dysart's newly released, "Sinner's Road," is an outstanding compilation, filled with musings of the past, strong opinions and philosophies, written in his own clever, effective style. A very reflective composition.

He resides in Timmins, Ontario Canada, with his soul mate, also a poet.
