Dr. D. Barry Starr

Dr. Starr spent years as a practicing scientist before he discovered the joys of explaining science to nonscientists in a comprehensible and entertaining way. Since 2003 he has run a program out of Stanford University's Department of Genetics called Stanford at The Tech where he has honed his science communication skills. He writes weekly blogs for scientists and nonscientists alike and works to train the next generation of scientists in science communication.
