Justin is a marketing and communications leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation across multiple startups as well as industry giants like The Home Depot, Autotrader, and Tithely. As the former Director of Communications at Mars Hill Church in Seattle—one of the fastest-growing and most innovative churches in the country at the time—Justin played a pivotal role in shaping communication strategies during rapid expansion and navigated significant PR challenges.

An accomplished entrepreneur with a passion for the church, Justin has founded and successfully sold three companies: That Church Conference, the online training platform SundayU, and the software solution Church Requests.

Justin is the author of the best-selling book, PR Matters: A Survival Guide for Church Communicators which has sold over 10,000 copies and is frequently used in PR classes at christian universities. In 2025 he released his second book, Stay Salty: Practical lessons to help churches sharpen their message, lead with courage and conviction, and stay salty in a culture that wants churches to be bland.

Today, he continues to consult with churches of all sizes, providing guidance on crisis management, PR strategies, and digital engagement to help churches stay faithful to their calling while thriving in a digital age.
