David Morefield has lived what some may call an adventurous life. David grew up in Sugar Land, a suburb of Houston, Texas. During David’s freshman year in college, he had the opportunity to go to summer school in England, where he found out that he loves to travel. David went to the Texas A&M University and was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the Corps of Cadets and served as an advisor to Kyongii University in Suwon, South Korea his senior year.
After graduating from Texas A&M, David pursued a career in public service. After a major injury, David left public service and once he had recovered, became a private security contractor.
David has travelled Europe, the Middle East, East Africa, Asia and much of the United States. During these travels, David has gained a unique perspective on the world and has made many friends. Some of David’s most rewarding trips have been with his church building orphanages and teaching hygiene skills.
Currently, David is the Security Compliance Officer for a government contractor and he runs his own photography business called Fluffyshotme Photography. David’s photography business began when someone asked if they could buy one of his prints while he was on a trip to Florida. Since then, he has sold his prints around the world.
David has always enjoyed writing, but did not write anything for mass publication until his book “A Father’s Playbook: How I Won Child Custody” in 2017.
David hopes that his book will give fathers a unique perspective on the custody process. For years, David had to keep the details of his custody battle a secret and his strategy to himself. Now that his son is an adult and headed off to college, David has the freedom to share his story.
