Jon Wlasiuk

Jon Wlasiuk was born in the Black Swamp region of northwest Ohio and earned a PhD in environmental history from Case Western Reserve University. He has taught at colleges throughout the Great Lakes and lives in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.

*Correction statement: On page 221 of An Alternative History of Cleveland, I mistakenly assigned Ashley Rosser's experience with substance use disorder and overdose to Bethany Roebuck. Roebuck is the executive director of Thrive for Change but does not have any such experience. I regret the error and future editions of the book will correct these lines.
