I don't remember ever having any other ambition in my childhood except to be a wife, a mother, and a writer. I have published authors on both sides of my family and maybe it's just in my blood. When my husband and I prepared to sell our house to go to Japan as missionaries, I put together a scrapbook of all my published work--short stories, devotionals and articles which had appeared in Guideposts, The Upper Room, The Secret Place and many other Christian periodicals.

My favorite style of writing at that time was devotional writing and even though many of my devotionals had been published in magazines, I'd always wanted to publish a devotional book. But God had many other things for me to do, and I didn't know if my dream would ever come true. Finally in 2014, a couple years after we returned from Japan, it was time. Homespun Faith became an autobiographical devotional book as I relived the times and seasons of my life. How exciting and rewarding to have this dream come true at last!

After Homespun Faith was published, I finished and published the first book in the Sarah's Legacy series, historical fiction I'd started in 1998. Some of the characters in this series are based on the of people who lived in our former home in Sandy Lake, PA, in the late 1800's/early 1900's. The second book, Sarah's Legacy Shared, is now available.
