Dr. Anup Patki

Dr Anup K Patki is currently working as fellow surgeon at Body science and Metabolic disorder international medical center, Taiwan. After his MBBS graduation from surat municipal institute of medical education and research and post graduation in surgery from National Board of Examinations, he was working as Assistant professor at surat municipal institute of medical education and research and later as Consultant surgeon at Baroda Heart and multispecialty hospital. Looking at the current trends of ever increasing obesity among people in India, with more than 10% affected as per NFHS 2015-16, it is of paramount importance to act on obesity. With knowledge, experience and guidance from the leading high volume center in asia his vision is to achieve excellence in Management of Obesity and eventually open a world class obesity treatment centre in my home town Surat, Gujarat, India These books are an attempt to spread awareness about understanding weight gain and bariatric surgery as an effective treatment option for weight loss.
