Val Melvn

My name is Val Melvin. I was born deaf with recessed jaws and interior ears. When I was six years old, I was enrolled to Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf. the deaf children stared at me because of a hole on my neck. my life had changed when my teacher, Mary Sue Humphrey helped me to learn after reading the letter about my birth. my grades and my progress have been improved. I made more friends. I graduated from ENCSD in 1988. I had many operations during my childhood years and my doctors worked hard to make my face good. I graduated from Wake Technical Community College with an associate Computer Business in 1995. I enjoy swimming and cycling.
