Debra Widerøe is a Visiting Professor of Communication at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She is the recipient of numerous prestigious professional, academic and service awards, including the global Charles H. Sandage Excellence in Teaching Award. Debra is also the president of the Widerøe Group.
With a Master’s Degree from Harvard University specialized in human development and children’s television, she launched nationwide campaigns for children; wrote, produced and directed celebrated children’s TV specials, as well as worked with a myriad of non-profit agencies and major entertainment studios. Her past includes directing the global marketing efforts at Warner Bros. Consumer Products for the Looney Tunes, Baby Looney Tunes, Pinky & the Brain and Tiny Toon Adventures. Her ties to education included having her own columns in Sunshine Family Magazine and KidScreen Magazine, and being a board member for two industry publications. "The Adventures of Camellia N." is her first educational children’s book series.
