Plenty of fast-paced action and adventure is on offer here, mixed with elements of sci-fi you'll be familiar with alongside others that will hopefully raise an eyebrow or two. Strange alien races and creatures inhabit story universes in which humanity is reaching out into the depths of interstellar space. Steve P Lee's science fiction stories contain all of these elements with snippets of actual science to lift them above the purely fanciful.
Steve P Lee has been married to Tracey since 1992, is the father of two grown up children (though he isn't entirely sure he has 'grown up' himself,) and lives just outside of Newark, Nottinghamshire in the UK. He worked for the UK government as a (very) junior civil servant in the Inland Revenue and Ministry of Defence before taking voluntary redundancy in 2012 to steer a different path. Problems with sciatica and a degenerative spinal disc forced him out of full-time work which had the unforeseen benefit of allowing him time to give writing one last chance. He now writes part-time and puts money in the bank account with a part-time job at the local motor auctions. He is ably assisted in his writing by his cockapoo, Peggy, who insists on planting teddy bear paws on the keyboard and typing gibberish! Now, some people claim Peggy writes the good stuff and Steve is responsible for the gibberish but he is yet to make a formal statement on that matter. He is also a keen fan of hard rock and heavy metal and similarly disposed individuals may spot certain homages paid to his favourite musical personalities.
His latest offering, Rival Distress and other sci-fi short stories, is available now.
