About the author

In August 1973, Craig A. Thomson left his family home, on the west coast of Scotland and travelled to London.

It was his intention to write songs/lyrics and stories for younger readers, but a series of unexpected twists led him in a totally different direction.

Following an award-winning career as a recording engineer, in 2020, Craig and his wife left the city and moved to an old cottage on a quiet island where, amongst its varied and many wonderful distractions, he has finally found contentment and the time to write again.

'Search for the Sunlight,' his first novel, begins in the heart of the fictional 'Treewood Forest.'

Arguably the most beautiful place on earth the great forest is home to a peculiar species known as 'Treewoods,'

Part tree and part human, life for these kindly mutants comes under serious threat when a thick freezing fog hides the sunlight.

As the fog slowly engulfs everything in its path, their beautiful world begins to wither and die...

Inspired by some of the places Craig used to frequent in his childhood, this magical and often humorous adventure will transport the reader to a fantasy world of bizarre creatures and scary situations, the likes of which have seldom been experienced by humankind.
