Karuna Eberl writes about wildlife, travel, history, and adventure from the high country of Colorado and the sandbars of the Florida Keys. She writes with an emphasis on nature, sustainability, history, and diversity, and has won multiple awards from the Outdoor Writers Association of America, the Society of American Travel Writers, the Florida Outdoor Writers Association, and others. Her credits include the BBC, National Parks Conservation Association, Atlas Obscura, Thrillist, Readers Digest, Family Handyman, Birds & Blooms, Florida Rambler, and others. She has co-authored two editions of the award-winning Quixotic Key West & the Lower Keys Travel Guide and the kids’ book All About the Everglades. She has also produced a dozen indie films, produced and written for TV series on networks including National Geographic and the Discovery Channel, and directed the award-winning documentary The Guerrero Project, about the search for a sunken slave ship in the Florida Keys.
