Francis Elder II

Francis Elder II is a lifelong creator who somehow turned breaking glass and breaking down the male mind into two very different — but equally entertaining — careers.

Born and raised in the beautiful Ozark town of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Francis discovered his creative spark early. He took art classes in junior high and high school, then landed a job at a local stained glass studio while still a teenager. That first taste of cutting glass, and turning it into a work of art ignited a passion that has burned brightly ever since.

Since 1988, he has worked on and off as a professional stained glass artist — restoring priceless pieces from the early 1900s, crafting traditional windows, and creating art that has found its way around the globe. Whether repairing century-old treasures or designing something entirely new, Francis brings patience, precision, and a touch of Ozark stubbornness to every project.

His journey into writing began in 2016 with Art Glass – Breaking Glass To Make Money, a practical guide that quickly became a #1 bestseller in its category on Amazon. That success opened the door to more books: additional stained glass pattern collections, political commentary, a short humor read, and a political humor book. After a brief pause, he’s back at the keyboard with renewed energy and a fresh perspective.

Francis now lives in Iowa, where the winters are cold, the corn is tall, and he still finds plenty of material for observing the wonderfully weird ways men think and behave. His soon to be released book is an honest look at the glorious quirks and rituals that make men… well, men.

When he’s not writing or working with glass, you’ll likely find Francis cracking dad jokes or standing on the porch during questionable weather, pretending to be a master meteorologist while calculating wind shear with nothing but a squint and his intuition.

He writes because he loves creating things that make people smile, laugh, or nod in recognition. Whether you’re here for the stained glass tips or a humorous survival guide to the male mind, Francis promises one thing: he’ll always keep it real, keep it relatable, and never wear spandex in public.

Thanks for reading — and welcome to the club.
