John Doyel

In 2005 I left full-time ministry because of my sexual addiction. After 26 years of full-time ministry, I began my recovery. Thanks to the grace and forgiveness of my wife we have remained married and will soon celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary.

For the past eleven plus years, I have not only been walking out my recovery but learning I can about the pandemic of pornography and how Christians should find freedom from this sin that so easily entangles them. I have written a number of books to help people understand the problem and experience freedom.

The 180 Recovery Ministry began in 2009 with 9 men meeting weekly. We now have over 100 men attending and meeting in 12 small groups for accountability and support. The 180 Ministry is based on these realities;

1. The Unconditional Love of God the Father.

2. The Finished Work of Christ on the Cross and in His Resurrection.

3. The Indwelling and Transformational Power of the Spirit.

4. Being part of a community of honesty, accountability, support, and prayer.
